HCPAC Announces ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ Cast

“It’s always winter in Narnia – but never Christmas.”

The beloved C.S. Lewis tale of the magical land of Narnia comes to life on the HCPAC stage this December, complete with Father Christmas, just in time for the holiday season. This timeless children’s classic tells the fantastic story of four children who find themselves transported to a land of woodland creatures ruled by the evil White Witch until the rightful king, Aslan the Lion, returns to teach them that courage and bravery will triumph over evil.

Cross Roads Volleyball Ready for Playoffs

The Cross Roads Lady Bobcats volleyball team is playoff bound. However, their destination for bi-district competition has yet to be determined because 2nd and 3rd place seating for District 21-2A is still up for grabs. The Cross Roads Ladycats and Kerens Ladycats finished tied at the end of the District 21-2A play.

The Cross Roads Ladycats will play Kerens Saturday, Nov. 1, at Eustace High School. First serve is at 6 pm. The winner will play Normangee (District 22-2A third place) in the bi-district playoff game. The loser will play Centerville (District 22-2A runner-up) in the bi-district playoff game. Events Scheduled to Help Humane Society of CCL

Two fun events the weekend of Nov. 8 – 9 will help the animals at the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake.

The annual Shelter Yard Sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the refreshed Shelter grounds. Please note the new location. As in previous years, there will be many amazing deals on furniture, household goods, clothing, and other items. Donated goods can be dropped off at the Shelter; deadline is Friday Nov. 6 at 3 p.m.

The Shelter is located 100 yards south of the intersection of Route 274 and Arnold Hills Road, at 10200 County Road 2043 in Tool. Watch for the sign at that intersection. Three Arrested in GBC on Drug Charges

On Monday, Oct. 27, Henderson County Sheriffs Office Narcotics Investigator Wick Gabbard obtained a narcotics search warrant for the residence located at 443 Anchor in Gun Barrel City. The search warrant was issued by Henderson County Justice of the Peace Milton Adams and authorized the search of the residence for methamphetamine.

Investigators Wick Gabbard, Brad Gray, Kendell Wellman, John Long, Michael Shelley, Sergeant Mitch Baker, Sheriff Ray Nutt, Chief Deputy Botie Hillhouse, Captain Bryan Tower, Lt. Chandler Man Arrested on Drug Charge

On Tuesday, Oct. 28, at approximately 5 a.m., Henderson County Sheriff‘s Office Deputy Wayne Nutt and Deputy Eric Cieri were investigating suspicious activity at the Lake Palestine Motel on SH 155. Kevin Ingram of Chandler was found to be in possession of a plastic bag containing a crystal like substance believed to methamphetamines. Ingram was booked into the Henderson County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1, 1 gram 4 grams, a Third Degree Felony.

In the state of Texas, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1 Gram 4 Grams is a Third Degree Felony, and carries a confinement in jail for a term not to exceed 10 years and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
