Death by Chocolate! What a Way to Go!

If you have to go, could there be a better way? The Henderson County Performing Arts Center doesn’t think so. In fact, there will be two very special chocolaty ‘deaths’ awaiting those who want to immerse themselves in a total decadence.

The traditional chocolate holiday, St. Valentine’s Day, will be observed at HCPAC with Death by Chocolate, an evening of sweets and songs. The annual event is an opportunity for sweethearts to mix and mingle while listening to romantic torch songs amid an endless array of chocolate confections, including a chocolate fountain.

This event will be held Saturday, February 14th, from 8-9 p.m. for the first seating and 9:30 – 10:30 p.m. for the second. Attendees also have the opportunity to see the last performance of The 39 Steps on the Main Stage of the HCPAC Theatre Complex before going to the Black Box Stage for the after-performance set. HCPAC Announces ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ Cast

“It’s always winter in Narnia – but never Christmas.”

The beloved C.S. Lewis tale of the magical land of Narnia comes to life on the HCPAC stage this December, complete with Father Christmas, just in time for the holiday season. This timeless children’s classic tells the fantastic story of four children who find themselves transported to a land of woodland creatures ruled by the evil White Witch until the rightful king, Aslan the Lion, returns to teach them that courage and bravery will triumph over evil.

HCPAC to Hold Auditions for ‘The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe’

Henderson County Performing Arts Center, in association with The Arts Angels and Hydraulic Services, announces auditions for “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.” This beloved children’s classic tale about the triumph of courage and bravery over evil is brought to the stage in December and features young actors between the ages of six years and those currently in eighth grade.

Auditions will be held Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 20-21 between 6:30 and 8 p.m. No preparation or experience is necessary. All actors are welcome and will be asked to read various roles from the play.
