Sheriff’s drug raid ends with four arrests

Sheriff Botie Hillhouse’s anti-drug squad raided an Athens residence early Friday morning and arrested four suspects with a substantial amount of methamphetamines.

“Breaking up this ring inside Athens helps stop the drug flow,” Hillhouse said. “Fewer customers mean fewer sales for dealers spreading their poison.”

Two dealers arrested in Malakoff

Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse reported two of his Deputies serving a warrant Wednesday ended up arresting two dealers with a variety of drugs in a Malakoff apartment complex parking lot.

“This job is about always being alert and aware of what is happening, and our Deputies day-in and day-out prove they are some of the best in the business at their jobs,” Hillhouse said.

Around the Town: So much for the pig’s trip

The pig was going nowhere. And that was that.

It took her most of an hour of digging in her heels and screaming at the top of her lungs to convince Jimmy that this was so. Pigs scream really loud, by the way. We were sitting inside our house, about a football field away from Jimmy’s place, and we heard her plainly.
