TVCC Sports Notes: Lady Cards stay unbeaten

The second-ranked Lady Cards returned to action following the holiday break Wednesday night with a 69-66 overtime win against Collin County in the McLennan Classic in Waco.

The win improved the Lady Cards to 12-0 on the season.

The Lady Cards led 35-25 at the half and were down 46-43 after three quarters. The score was tied 59-59 at the end of regulation.

The Lady Cards are scheduled to return to Region XIV Conference play next Wednesday on the road against Carthage. Game time is 5:30 p.m.


The 10th-ranked Cardinals are scheduled to resume action Friday on the road against Lamar State-PA. Game time is 6 p.m.

The Cardinals are 13-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference.

The Cardinals are scheduled to be at home Monday against Lee in a 7 p.m. tipoff.


The 2018 bowl season saw 27 former Cardinal coaches and players in action.
