Obituary: Henry Conditt

Conditt, HenryFuneral Services for Henry Conditt, 77, of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Willow Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Hall officiating. A private family interment will be held at Payne Cemetery.

Mr. Conditt passed away on November 8, 2014 in Athens, Texas.

Henry Clay Conditt was born May 12, 1937 in Blooming Grove, Texas the son of Brady O’Neil Conditt and Willie Mae Ballard Conditt. He was a longtime member of the Willow Springs Baptist Church. He loved dancing and gardening. Henry will be missed by all he knew and loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Stockton Conditt, daughter Katrina Martinez, one brother Glenn Conditt and two sisters, Opal Rebecca Michiels and Martha Jean Simmons.

He is survived by his wife Melba Conditt of Athens, his children, Renee Conditt McClintock and husband Mike of Athens, Farris Conditt and wife Missy of Malakoff, Rashonda Maze and husband Jammie of Brownsboro, Scott Conditt of Athens; step children, Diana Jackson and husband Jim of Indio, California, Keith Turner Jr. of Duncanville, Texas, Mahlon Turner and wife Judy of Trinidad, Mike Turner of Seagoville, Derryl Turner and wife Gina of Ovilla, Cheryl Miller and husband John of Mabank; one brother Nolan O’Neil Conditt of Brownsboro; eleven grandchildren, Brandy Wilcox, Misty Salazar, Cody Smith, J.J. Martinez, Kirk Clendening, Ariel Hazelip, Sadie Mae Conditt, Aiden Maze, Payton Maze, Dawson Conditt, Molly Conditt; nine step grandchildren, Amanda Sparks, Jonathan Miller, Jennifer Miller, Jamie Turner, Brian Turner, Michelle Ishmael, Randy Stripland, Michael Stripland, Shelby Hill; eleven great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren and four step great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Anding, Kirk Clendening, Jammie Maze, Brady Conditt, Joe Martinez and Hunter Wilcox.

The family will visit with friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home of Athens.
