Bessie Mae Scott White was born May 13, 1929 in Mabank and she joined the ranks of the angels on her 84th birthday in Dallas.

Bessie was the epitome of a loving wife, wonderful mother, “Nannie,” and friend for so many years. She gave her love and compassion to anyone who needed it. She is joined at those pearly gates by husband of 64 years, Billy Drew.

She is survived by her brother, Jesse Ray Scott of Mabank; sister, Ira Ruth Smith of Holly Lake; daughter, Sharon Owens and husband George of McKinney; daughter, Phoebe Bowman and husband John of Kaufman; grandchildren, Jeffrey Speight and fiancé Marlena Law of Denton, Shelly Wood and husband James of McKinney, Tiffany Barrett and husband Dustan of Lindale; as well as great-grandchildren, Brandon Wood, Karissa Breckel, Trevor and Chloe Speight, Reagan Wood, Colin Speight, and so many more extended family and friends.

Both Billy Drew and Bessie Mae will be sorely missed by us all.
