In his career at Trinity Valley Community College, Tevan McAdams has been no stranger to postseason honors.
At the end of the 2018 season, the 6-3, 240-pound defensive lineman out of Denton Guyer High School, was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference.
As he was beginning his final holiday break as a Cardinal last month, another honor – the highest of honors – came his way. McAdams was named an NJCAA All-American, earning second team recognition.
“Tevan is very much deserving of the honor,” TVCC head coach Sherard Poteete said of the sophomore defensive stalwart. “He’s an exceptional football player and a great person. He was one of our leaders and will be hard to replace.”
McAdams recorded 35 solo tackles and 30 assists during the 2018 season. Head had 7.5 sacks and recovered three fumbles.
