Services for Kyle Jones, 22, Seguin, formerly of Murchison are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with John Mark Solomon officiating.

Burial will follow in Athens Cemetery.

Kyle passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 after a pipeline accident near Hochheim in DeWitt County.

He was born Sept. 18, 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia to Russell Wayne and Terry Lynn Miller Jones. Kyle moved to Murchison in 2004. He graduated from Athens High School in 2009. He was an avid baseball lover playing for Athens High School where he lettered his sophomore year. Born in Atlanta, naturally the Atlanta Braves was his favorite pro team to follow. Services for Linda Ann Vance, 66, of Athens, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at Meredith Campground Cemetery with Bro. Randy Fisher officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in Meredith Campground Cemetery, Henderson County.

She passed away Aug. 5, 2013 in Longview.

Mrs. Vance was born Feb. 16, 1947 in Dallas to Garvin Easter and Martha Ann Meredith Morris.

Linda loved her grandkids. She loved sweets and enjoyed painting and music.

Surviving are daughter, Rhonda and Randy Traister of Athens; mother, Martha Meredith Morris; three grandchildren, Crystal and Brandon Carlson of Athens, Brian and Jennifer Clark of Gun Barrel City, Coty and Sally Clark of Athens; five great-grandchildren, Kylee, Hayden, Makayla, Ema, and Coty.

Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Jeanette Eskridge.

Pallbearers are Coty Clark, Brandon Carlson, Randy Traister, Brian Clark.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial services for Herbert James “Jim” Harris, 69, of Murchison are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 7, 2013 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, The Colony, Texas,under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

He passed away Aug. 2, 2013 in Murchison.

Mr. Harris was born April 24, 1944 in Portsmouth, VA, to Herbert James and Florence Marie Walters Harris.

Jim grew up in Portsmouth, VA. where he graduated high school. After school he joined the Army where he served with the 82nd Airborn. He married Paula Bannon and had three wonderful girls. Jim moved to Texas in 1976. In 1980 he married Jean Bates of El Dorado, AR. and spent the last 33 years together. Jim enjoyed woodworking with his grandchildren.

Graveside services for James L. White, 91 of Houston, formerly of Tool, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 in Tool Cemetery.

Mr. White died July 30, 2013 as his Houston residence.

He was born May 24, 1922 in Tool to the late Robert Hansford and Mary May Denney White. He had lived in Houston the past 30 years. James worked 40 years as  real estate appraiser for Federal Housing Administration and Veterans Administration.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife Isabel, six brothers and two sisters.

Stephanie Dee Himes,, 38, of Gun Barrel City, was born on March 23, 1975 in Denver, Colo. to the home of Tim Himes and Jackie Kennedy and passed away on July 27, 2013 at her home in Gun Barrel City surrounded by her family. 

She was preceded in death by grandparents Marvin Kennedy and Tena Mohler. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Brooks Warren; children Taylor Warren, Seth Himes and Logan Warren; parents Joe and Jackie Clark, father Tim Himes Sr.; brothers Brad Bynum and Tim Himes, Jr.; cousins Jason and Dustin Kennedy; grandmother Sadie Kennedy and grandfather C.A Mohler; uncle and aunt Donna and Glenn Kennedy; special aunts Stacy and Beverly and numerous other family and friends. 

Visitation will be at Moorhead Epps Funeral Home at 6-8 pm on July 31, 2013.
