The Henderson County United Way is kicking off the 2016‐17 campaign with a wine tour of four local wineries Saturday, Sept. 10. This inaugural event will take participants by bus from downtown at the Justice Center 203 W. Corsicana St. Athens to 3P’s in a Vine Winery and White Fox Vineyard followed by lunch at Chick’s BBQ in Murchison, ending the afternoon with stops at Castle Oaks Winery and Tara Winery. Snacks will be provided at each stop to compliment the tasting experience.
Tickets are on sale now at Citizens National Bank in Athens. Seats are limited. The price is $100 per person or two for $175.
Proceeds go towards the 2016‐17 campaign and the many agencies supported by the Henderson County United Way.
