The Texas Department of Transportation is planning the following activity in Henderson County the week of Aug. 24:
— TxDOT maintenance crews resume hot mix work on SH 198 near the FM 316 intersection. A second crew is conducting drainage work on SH 31 East in the Brownsboro area. Expect lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control.
— TxDOT contractor, Striping Technology, Inc., will have a crew adding striping on FM 2709 in Henderson County as part of the district-wide safety project to add centerline rumble strips. Expect lane closures.
— Work to place a new overlay on SH 31 should be finished in late October. Expect lane closures. .09 miles west of FM 317 eastward to .34 miles west of FM 773.
— Clean up activities continue on the project to widen FM 317 from FM 314 to FM 607. Expect lane closures.
— Cardinal Drive in Murchison is closed to through traffic as a new bridge is built at Little Duncan Creek. Completion set for September.
