Excitement is building for the fall semester at Trinity Valley Community College as students prepare for life in college by attending the first session of Freshman Orientation for the Athens campus on Saturday, July 18. Seventy-one students and their families attended to learn how to transition from high school to college, register for fall classes, learn about financial aid and attend sessions on money management, campus security and Cardinal Connection, the online student portal for information and managing applications, student financial aid and more. They also met local dignitaries, Cardettes, athletic teams and academic coaches, toured the campus and got answers to their questions.
The second session will be held Saturday, August 1. Registration is $35 for students and $10 for parents, and must be completed by July 29. Registration fee includes lunch, all program fees and materials. For more information, contact TVCC Counseling at 903-675-6350 or email [email protected].
