Obituary: Dorothy Foster

Foster, Dorothy PhotoFuneral services for Dorothy Foster, 79 of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.

Mrs. Foster passed away July 17, 2015 in Athens.

She was born May 20, 1936 in Athens to Simion Monroe and Lena Werneking Pryor. Dorothy was involved with church activities and for the last 10 years was involved at Central Baptist Church. She loved quilting, watching the Dallas Cowboy games, especially Tony Romo and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Louis Pryor, Raymond Pryor, C. W. Pryor and James Pryor.

Survivors include her husband Bernie Foster of Athens; children Mike Foster and wife Kathy, Shelly Siegrist and husband Tom; grandchildren Tommy Siegrist and wife Heather, Stephanie Siegrist, Krissy Burns and Brandi Jones and husband Richie; sister Millie Kimery and husband Orville; sister in law Margaret Pryor; seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Siegrist, Larry Foster, Rickie Foster, Tony Pryor, Keith Pryor, Don Yarbrough.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garry Foster, Ronald Foster, Terry Foster, James (Buddy) Pryor.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
