Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

On Feb. 10, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy John Daniels conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation on a vehicle on State Highway 274 in Seven Points. The vehicle was occupied by two white males and a white female. The female subject gave a false name and date of birth but was later identified as Kari Haywood, age 45. A search of the Haywood’s belongings was conducted and Deputy Daniels found Haywood to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Haywood was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram and transported to the Henderson County Jail.
