Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

On Sunday, Sept. 7, at approximately 12:24 a.m., Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Sergeant M. Jistel performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Shadow Wood Trail in Gun Barrel City. While searching the vehicle during the traffic stop, Jistel located a small baggie containing a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamines.

Randy Whitley from the Winnsboro area was arrested and transported to the Henderson County Jail. Whitley was booked into the Henderson County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram. Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1

Whitley remains in the Henderson County Jail awaiting arraignment by a judge.
