Henderson County Pct. 1 Commissioner Scotty Thomas announced today that he will not seek reelection.
Thomas is finishing his first term as commissioner.
“After much prayer and family discussion, I have made this decision to not seek another term,” he said.
Thomas said he was looking forward to spending more time with his family.
“It has been my privilege and honor to work with the citizens of Henderson County. With one year remaining on my term, I will continue to serve the citizens of Henderson County and Precinct 1 with the same integrity and dedication as I have this past three years,” Thomas said. “I would like to thank all the constituents and those who have offered encouragement and support.”
