III. Downtown Assessment
A. The City of Athens, through its Department of Tourism, will host a downtown assessment on Friday, July 31. The assessment will be conducted by the Texas Downtown Association and will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Athens Partnership Center located at 201 W. Corsicana Street.
IV. City Parks Improvement project
A. Update on baseball/softball field improvements by Chris Tinsley
Great job, enjoy the discussions. On the water tank issue there are some unanswered questions that would have helped us understand more.
1) What is exactly wrong that is causing the water tanks/quality to be out of compliance (“needs maintenance” doesn’t really explain the issue).
2) What needs to be done (what are the processes) that will bring the water system back into compliance. (Again, perform maintenance doesn’t explain a whole lot).
