TVCC softball is perfect at tournament

The Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals kept their fall exhibition softball record perfect Saturday at the Bossier Parish Tournament in Bossier City, La.

Coach Ashley Johnston’s squad won three games to improve to 5-0. The Lady Cardinals twice defeated Shreveport Storm Elite, 5-4 and 7-2, and host Bossier Parish, 7-0.

In the first win over the Storm Elite, Courtney Johnson gave the Lady Cardinals four strong innings in the circle, giving up just one hit and allowing no runs. Continue reading “TVCC softball is perfect at tournament”

Man arrested for burglary of a vehicle

On Saturday, Sept. 12, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Tracy Dunnington and Josh Rickman were dispatched to the Murchison area in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. While Dunnington was speaking to the complainant about the theft of his money out of his vehicle, Rickman located the defendant, Enrique Cardoso, at the Exxon in Murchison. Honoring Grandparents Day

Several fifth-graders at Bel Air Elementary took a walk on Friday to visit residents of Lakeland House in honor of Grandparents Day.
