During the last several months multiple burglaries have occurred in the Trinidad area of Henderson County. On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Investigator Jeromey Rose with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office discovered a lead in the investigation and an arrest warrant was obtained for Donna Myers as well as a search warrant for her residence at 2412 State Highway 274 in Trinidad. Funeral services for Kirby Ballard, 75, of Athens, Texas, are scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Athens.
Mr. Ballard passed away on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 in Athens, Texas.
Kirby Dale Ballard was born Feb. 20, 1940 in Athens, Texas. The son of Craford Ballard and Ella Mae Troublefield Ballard. Kirby proudly served as a United States Marine. He was later a Truck driver and Teamster of the Local 745 in Dallas, who was known as a hard worker. He loved guns, target shooting and reloading. Obituary: James ‘Pat’ O’Brien

Mr. O’Brien passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 in Athens, Texas.
James Patrick O’Brien was born November 21, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas the son of James P. O’Brien and Mary O’Brien. Pat was in the Telecom business for over 40 years eventually becoming the installation supervisor for the state of Texas before retiring from Century Link. He was a collector of die cast model trains, planes, and cars; enjoyed wood working and just loving life.
