Services for Videll Lewis, 99 of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Dustin Bartee officiating. Private burial will follow in Payne Cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis passed away November 18, 2014 in Athens.
She was born October 8, 1915 in Wolfe City to William Walter and Ellen Hansen Bowers. Videll was a caregiver to all her family. She was a member of Eastern Hills Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene Horace Lewis, son John Olen Lewis, daughter Glenda Sue Crowell and grandson Scotty Ray Crowell, 4 brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include her son Gene Lewis and wife Dawn of Athens; daughter Nancy Wheeler, son in law Danny Crowell, both of Athens; grandson Shane Wheeler and wife Shellie, granddaughter Sherri Cole, great granddaughters Brittany Wheeler, Emily Wheeler, Ashley Wheeler; great grandson Silas Cole and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
