Obituary: Sidne Spencer

Spencer, SydneFuneral services for Sidne Spencer, 22, of Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Athens with Bro. Mike Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park under the direction of Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.

Sidne went to be with her Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with Fibrolamellar cancer on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Sidne Taylor Spencer was born May 14, 1993 the daughter of Stanley Spencer and Sharla Rachelle Lewis Spencer. She was a Real Estate Agent for Keller Williams in South Carolina after finishing College. She loved crafting, refinishing furniture, room design and vintage everything. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed running, participating in several 5K competitions including the Turkey Trot and the Color Run. Sidne loved spending time with her family, was a loving daughter, mate, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin and will be missed by all her heart touched.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Tom Spencer and her maternal grandfather Joe Lewis.

Sidne is survived by her parents, Stan Spencer and wife Betty of Athens, Rachelle Spencer of Dallas; boyfriend and love of her life Dana Corcoran of Charleston, South Carolina; three sisters, Jordan Spencer of Rowlett, Randi Spencer and Madison Spencer both of Dallas; one brother Clayton Bekker of Athens; niece Rylie Chandler; nephew Zackary Chandler; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends in South Carolina.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home.
