The memorial service for Sharon Elaine Brown, of Athens, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Lilley officiating.
Mrs. Brown went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016.
Sharon Elaine Meroney Brown was born July 14, 1947 in Tatum, NM the daughter of Augustus Meroney and Annie Gentry Meroney. More than anything she loved her family and raising her children. She loved to read and she will be missed by all she knew and loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Ivan Blaine Brown and Marvie Blaine Brown Jr., two brothers Gerald and Patrick Meroney, and sister Toby Landusky.
Elaine is survived by her husband, of 50 years, Marvie Brown of Athens, her children Michelle Wright of Cross Roads, Blaine Brown and wife Natalie of Buda, and Shane Brown and wife Trisha of Rosharon. She is also survived by brother Michael Meroney and wife Dollie of Tatum, NM, sister Aileen Schultz and husband Rob of Meniff, CA, and grandchildren Reanna Lowrance, Haley Lowrance, Cameron Brown, and one on the way.
