Funeral services for Michelle Shellenberger, 24, of Malakoff, Texas are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens, Texas with interment following at Walnut Creek Cemetery in Crescent Heights.
Mrs. Shellenberger passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Athens, Texas.
Michelle Nicole Wheeler Shellenberger was born September 7, 1990 in Brainard, Minnesota the daughter of Noah Lee Wheeler and Terry Evelyn McCan. She was a member of the Crescent Heights Baptist Church. She was a hard worker who enjoyed singing and shopping. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and granddaughter and will be missed by all she knew and loved.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Frank Meza and her maternal grandmother Paula Somers.
She is survived by her husband Rodney Shellenberger of Martins Mill; her parents, Noah Wheeler and wife Cindy of Crescent Heights, Terry McCan and husband David of Malakoff; one daughter Brooklynn Nicole Shellenberger of Malakoff; seven brothers and sisters, Melissa Wheeler of Malakoff, Ryan Wheeler of Malakoff, Meghan Wheeler of Crescent Heights, Dawn McCan of Minneola, Heather McCan of Ruston, Louisiana, Marcus Moore and wife Brooke of Trinidad, Chrystol Caple of Malakoff; paternal grandmother Judy Meza; maternal grandfather Patrick Somers; maternal grandmother Nancy Goodson; maternal grandparents Jim and Betty McCan and maternal great grandmother Lavern Clark
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Boothe, Anthony Barnes, Kyle Nash, Dillon Nash, Robert Nash, Chance Nash, Tyler Bailey, Marcus Moore and Randy Weeks.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home in Athens, Texas.
