Services for Mary Louise Nix, 92 of Murchison are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Bro. Tim Samples officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
Mrs. Nix passed away May 2, 2015 in Athens.
She was born March 14, 1923 in Waxahachie to Arthur J. and Verna Irene Johnson Nix. Mary attended Scurry Rosser High School in Kaufman County. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as long distance operator in Dallas. She was a life member of Telephone Pioneers of America. After retiring Mary moved to Tyler and in later years went to Rosewood Estates Retirement Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers J. E. Nix, A. J. Nix, John Tom Nix and Robert Nix, nephew Daland Nix.
Survivors include sister Evelyn Rivers and husband Josh of Murchison, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be James Lowry, Eric Lowry, Bobby Nix, Gus Hamsho, Frank Scott, Curtis Cummings.
Visitation for family and friends will be 10:00 A M until service time at the funeral home.
