Services for John Baker, 32, Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Bishop officiating.
Burial will follow in Becks Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Baker died Friday, June 14, 2013 in LaRue.
He was born March 28, 1981 in Athens. His parents are Harold Lynn and Kelly Robin Baker Paul. John attended LaPoynor High School and was a lifelong resident of Athens. He loved raising
chickens and hunting hogs. John was a very quiet man. He was very loving and always had a smile on his face. His family was his life.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather James H. Baker and his cousin Shane Walker.
Survivors include his parents Harold and Kelly Paul; very special companion Kayla Millender; sister Susan Paul; nephew James Paul; grandmother Dianne Baker; grandparents Mike and Lillie Laney, Harold and Susie Paul; aunts and uncles Charles and Sandra Martin, Lee and Susan Walker, Jason and Leslie Walker, Jimmy Baker, all of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Wes Covington, Tuby Kyle, Andy Kinabrew, Brandon Justice, Jimmy Baker, John Ponce.
Honorary pallbearers are C. J. Martin and Jacob Walker, Christy Martin, Cassie Ponce, Samantha Walker and Shelby Walker.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 P M Monday at the funeral home.
