Area resident Ednel Laverne Locke passed away Sept. 30, 2013 at the age of 86. Mr. Locke was born on Nov. 24, 1926 to Frank and Amanda Meredith Locke in Athens.
Ednel lived in Cross Roads with his wife Minnie Belle Garner Locke. He is survived by Minnie, one brother George Locke and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Amanda Locke, his first wife Delorse Locke, three brothers, Davis Locke, Delorse Locke, and Larry Locke and one sister Wilma Simpson.
Visitation for Mr. Locke will be Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.
Service will be Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Cross Roads First Baptist Church. Bro. Frank Upchurch will officiate. Interment will be in the Patterson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Donny Locke, Todd Locke, Earl Locke, Terry Locke, Jerry Locke, and Travis Locke.
