Funeral services for Dorothy Faye McNew, 82 of Eustace are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Malakoff with Rev. Jody Jones officiating.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
Dorothy passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 at her home in Eustace.
She was born Nov. 9, 1932 in Dallas to James William and Jessie Moore Fields.
Dorothy was a devoted, giving and courageous wife, mother, grand and great grandmother blessed with a Christian soul as radiant as her smile. Beloved Dorothy, you may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Sanford; sisters Louise Vineyard and Bobbie Monk; brother Melvin Fields; husband Boyce McNew.
Survivors include her sons David Sanford and wife Pam of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Darrell McNew and wife Jane of Athens; daughters Linda Reeves of Eustace, Robin Preisman and husband Craig of Sasche, Julie McNew of Athens; grandchildren Rocky Reeves of Malakoff, John Clark of Eustace, Kenny Sanford of Oakridge, Tennessee, Lisa Ottaberry and husband Shawn of Murchison, Amanda Gonzales and husband Steven of Fort Worth, Caley Sanford of Oakridge, Tennessee, Marhra Cain of Athens; great grandchildren Tommy Washington, Zachary Stokes, Tyler Stokes, Tanner Sparks, Simuel Gonzales, Ariah Gonzales, Brenna Clark and Stetson Cain.
A visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
