Darleen Fowler, 97, of Memphis passed from this life Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Athens, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday by Daniel Downey, Minister of First Baptist Church in the Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Leon.
Darleen was born on November 20, 1920 to Zack and Lessie Salmon. Darleen married Leon Fowler on January 23, 1942. They farmed near Lesley. She had lived in Hall County for over 94 years until moving to Athens.
She is survived by three daughters Donna Tipton and husband Eddie of Malakoff, Nancy Srygley and husband Jimmy of Amarillo, Judy Berry of Rockport. One Sister Zackie Bennett of Amarillo. Four grandchildren, Pamela Camarillo, Kelli Boren, Dirk Fowler, and Jeff Srygley, 10 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren, and many friends.
