Graveside services and interment for Bobby Farmer, 83 of Chandler are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday in Athens Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Myers officiating.
Mr. Farmer passed away May 2, 2015 in Tyler.
He was born March 14, 1932 in Delia to Dewey and Bessie Shillings Farmer.
Bobby served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He had been a resident of Chandler the past 17 years. He was a Baptist by faith. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and retired after a long career as a truck driver. Bobby loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid dog lover and had a passion for German Shepherds.
He is preceded in death by brothers Carleton and Kenneth Farmer and a sister Minnie Johnson.
Survivors include his children Bobby, Jr., James, Patricia, Laura and Jackie; numerous grandchildren; a brother Wayne Farmer and wife Georgia; sisters Nelda Smith and Delores Farmer.
