Services for Betty Pool, 78, of Malakoff are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Malakoff Cemetery.
Mrs. Pool passed away April 13, 2015 in Athens.
She was born December 11, 1936 in Waco to Harold Daniel and Ola Francis Johnson Watkins. Betty had been a resident of Star Harbor 19 years. She loved art and music. She had a passion for reading. Betty was a member of Star Harbor Literary Group, Ex Libras Book Club, Star Harbor Ladies Golf Association and Pokeno Group. She always had to be outside on gorgeous days.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter Shannon Ridlehuber, one great-grandson Chandler Fosset.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years H. B. Pool of Malakoff, daughter Connie Faglie and husband C. W. of Fort Worth; sister Barbara King and husband Edward of Star Harbor; grandchildren Mica Fosset of Hillsboro, Brian Faglie of Fort Worth, Jeremy Faglie of Denton and Casey Faglie of Saginaw; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Casey Faglie, Brian Faglie, Jeremy Faglie, C. W. Faglie, Mike Bunch, and Tony King.
Visitation for family and friends will be 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
