Man Arrested for Meth in Athens

On February 12, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Deputy Brian Huckabee was traveling down West College Street located in Athens. Deputy Huckabee observed a white male walking in the 200 block of West College which appeared to be suspicious. After making contact with the white male identified as Tommy Walker, Deputy Huckabee discovered Walker had an outstanding warrant out of Athens Police Department for no driver’s license, after a search of Walker’s person, Deputy Huckabee found Walker to be in possession of methamphetamines. Walker was transported to the Henderson County Jail where he was booked in for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony and outstanding warrant for no drivers license.
