On Saturday, Sept. 12, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Tracy Dunnington and Josh Rickman were dispatched to the Murchison area in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. While Dunnington was speaking to the complainant about the theft of his money out of his vehicle, Rickman located the defendant, Enrique Cardoso, at the Exxon in Murchison.
Cardoso was found in possess of a large amount of cash that was consistent with the denominations of cash that had been stolen. Rickman and Dunnington were able to determine that Cardoso had taken the money from the victim’s vehicle and the money was returned to the victim.
Cardoso was arrested for Burglary of a Vehicle a Class A Misdemeanor, and Public Intoxication a Class C Misdemeanor.
On Sunday, Henderson County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Randy Daniel arraigned Cardoso and set his bail at $15,000. Cardoso was in custody at the time of this press release.
