It’s time to run for funds.
The 2013 NJCAA champion Trinity Valley Community College Lady Cardinals are scheduled to host their second Run For Funds on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Cain Center.
Action begins at 8 a.m. with a fun run for children. The 5K race is set to start at 8:05 a.m. and the 5K walk for adults at 8:10 a.m.
Registration for the event is $25 for ages 13 and above and $10 for 12 and under. Registration will be accepted the day of the event (please arrive early).
All proceeds will benefit the Lady Cardinal basketball program.
T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants to register.
Age categories for the competition will be: 17-under; 18-29; 30-49; and 50-above.
There will be a cash prize for the overall 5K run winner. Also, trophies will be awarded to division winners. All children participating will receive a participation ribbon.
Sponsors for the event include Athens Screen Printing, Citizens National Bank, Best Western Plus, Creative Graphics, Edward Jones Investments-Tony Kalawe and Super 8.
