Former Cross Roads athletic director/head boys basketball coach Jeff Thorpe was named the recipient of the 2016 C.O. Phillips Memorial Award Friday afternoon at the 29th annual Coaches Playday at The Pinnacle. The award is presented each year to an ambassador for the game of golf in honor of former Malakoff coach and longtime Coaches Playday participant who died in the summer of 2000.
