The City of Athens is launching a project to restore and transform the Texan Theater into a community treasure once more. But we need your help!

What would you like to see the Texan Theater become? Will you share with us your favorite photo or memory of the Texan Theater? Would you, your business or local civic group like to participate in restoring and transforming the Texan Theater?

  1. It would be amazing to have something like a “Studio Movie Grill” with menus limited to Gormet Burgers and fries….. Quaint setting, casual fare, perhaps 2 showings F-Sun and one showing M-Th. Could also be rented out to small groups for private parties….. Catering done in house or from outside vendor…..

  2. Canadian, Texas took the old Palace Theatre and turned it back to its glory days. Salem Abraham was behind the renovation and revival. It even served as the venue for the local opening of Tom Hank’s Cast Away with portions filmed north of Canadian . Most recently, the Palace Theatre televised the 2A state football championship for those hometown folks who couldn’t make the trip to Houston.
    Canadian and Salem Abraham would love to show you their work.
