Apparently Graci Mae didn’t want to wait.

The first baby born at East Texas Medical Center Athens wasn’t due until Jan. 20, but came instead at 3:27 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1.

Mom and dad are Patricia and Russell Stinson of Berryville, and both mom and baby are doing well. Graci has two sisters: Paiten Elizabeth Stinson and Madison Kay Hanna.

Graci Mae was 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 18 inches. She was delivered via caesarean section by Dr. Gregory Mondini and Dr. Michael Swartwood.

In honor of being the first baby of 2015, Graci Mae and family were presented a gift basket from ETMC Athens and the OB staff which included the following:

  • Diapers donated by Brookshire’s.
  • A Lindor mini bag for mom, nail clippers, baby wipes and healthcare set donated by CVS.
  • 5 free pizzas donated by Pizza Hut.
  • Free lunch for mom and dad donated by McAlister’s Deli.
  • Nursery organizer, bath set, book of firsts and 2-piece sleep set donated by Walmart.
  • Handmade baby booties, baby blanket, hat and booties set from Project Angel Kisses.
