The Economic Development Corporation of Gun Barrel City appointed Dawn Yarbrough to full-time position reporting directly to EDC President Steven Schiff and other EDC board members effective Jan. 13.
Yarbrough’s responsibilities include coordinating the day-to-day operations of the EDC office along with assisting in the marketing activities associated with the GBC EDC.
“Dawn’s interaction with the EDC board members and the public to date has created an excellent opportunity for growth in working with the GBC EDC,” said Schiff. “From day one in working as our temporary employee, most board members wanted to immediately hire Dawn on to assist with the remarketing and business development for the GBC EDC. We have high expectations for Dawn and remain extremely confidential that she will continue to be a most welcomed asset to our organization.”

Yarbrough brings to the EDC a wealth of secretarial and organization skills along with a common sense attitude to working with people and developing business relationships.
