Early voting begins today … but I’ve noticed that a lot of people aren’t really sure for which election?
The confusion comes from this being a statewide election year. We actually have four different elections this year.
– March 4: Primary Election
– May 10: Uniform Election Date (Local Political Subdivisions Other than Counties)
– May 27: Primary Runoff (Pct. 4 County Commissioner race: Kelly Harris against Ken Geeslin … Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace race: Dale Blaylock against Kevin Pollock.)
– Nov. 4: Uniform Election Date (State and County Offices)
What’s that mean for us now? Well, currently we are in early voting for local elections, like city councils and school boards. I have posted a list of those elections and candidates here.
The runoff elections will come later in May.
