Texas Department of Transportation contract construction crews work at night to repair and resurface the square in Athens in these photos taken overnight, June 11-12. This work will continue between 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday-Thursday through the week of June 24, weather permitting. The Athens square is closed to traffic during the work hours. Detours are posted.
