The Chandler Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Scarecrow Decorating Contest this fall for local businesses and homes. Prizes of $100 will be given out to each category.
Applications are available at the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, the Chandler Public Library or Chandler City Hall and must be returned by Thursday, Oct. 1. There is a night drop at City Hall and the library if needed.
There will be two categories for entry: Business or Family.
Judging will begin on Saturday, Oct. 3. Scarecrows must be in front of businesses or homes and can include other decorations (hay, corn, pumpkins, etc.). Scarecrows will be judged on creativity, Pow Wow spirit and the personality of the homeowner or business evident in the design.
Winners will be announced at noon at the Grand Pavilion in Winchester Park on Saturday, Oct. 10.
