Cedar Creek Lake fall business expo announced

Applications are now being accepted for the Cedar Creek Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s new Cedar Creek Lake Fall Business Expo, slated for Oct. 17, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. at the Mabank Pavilion. Open to non-members, as well as members, the Business Expo is an exciting new event for CCLACC and will bring a great deal of value for the Cedar Creek Lake business community and the consumers in the area.

This rare opportunity for networking business-to-business in a professionally presented setting will be free to the public and well advertised in advance of the Expo date. The time of year was selected because the chamber felt it would be a perfect time for the business community to start holiday promotions. Local businesses would be able to advertise their services and build brand awareness with business banners similar to those on sites like signatureprint.co.uk as well as other types of promotion.

A few years ago, the chamber was able to host a very well-received expo, but lost the venue. The Mabank Pavilion now has solar screens that can be lowered if necessary and the Mabank Fire Department is generously allowing use of the facility for the community event. Chamber President Jo Ann Hanstrom, said, “We’re excited to be able to offer this new, totally business-related event to our members and the rest of the business community, as well as the public. We’re counting on great weather at that time of year, but having the solar screens in place ‘just in case’ is definitely a plus and was a factor in the board’s decision to host another Expo.”

Booth spaces (10′ x 10′) will be available, as well as larger spaces outside the pavilion roof. Cost for non-members of CCLACC is $250, with the outside spaces for boats, cars and RV’s negotiated. Electricity is available (limited number of spaces) for an additional $75 for non-members. The fee for members is $150, plus $50 for electricity. All booth fees include a table, two chairs, small sign and professional draping, all provided by Red Hat Rentals. Vendors may hang their own banners Winston Salem and are responsible for their own decorations, hand-outs and door prize registrations. Vendors, including restaurants, may sell their goods at the event.

The chamber has announced a 20 percent discount on Expo booths to any business that joins during the month of September! The discount applies to space only and does not include electricity. For details and an application, contact the chamber staff at 903-887-3152.
