TVEC begins storm damage recovery efforts

Press release

Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative crews are in the process of assessing major infrastructure damage caused by reported tornadoes and severe thunderstorms throughout the northern part of our service area.

“Our thoughts and prayers are certainly first and foremost with the people who were in the direct path of these storms,” said General Manager/CEO Jerry Boze. “We are currently in the process of assessing damage and restoring power to the areas that can be restored. We are thinking about those people … friends, family and co-op members who are suffering major losses tonight.”

Parents can spend a long time talking to their children about safe driving habits, but if the mother and father do not practice what they preach, chances are the teenage drivers will not listen. For instance, you can tell your son to make sure that his phone remains on silence and is in the backseat time and time again, but that one time that you answer your phone while you are driving down the road speaks much louder than your words. Likewise, you can explain to your daughter about the importance of making sure she follows through on the regular maintenance on her car, but if the van that you drive has had a crack in the windshield for more than you year, then you likely sound like a banging gong rather than a voice of reason. Simple repairs that do not require special tools can be done by yourself, a paintless dent repair is something you should not do by yourself, just hire a professional, this a tricky job and if done wrong it can cost you a lot of money. Save you money but it you are talking about custom car wraps or engine related matters it is sure an expert mechanics field.
