Obituary: Gareth (Gary) David Chasey

Gareth (Gary) David Chasey was born in Rochester, New York November 26, 1929, he died in Athens, Texas on July 2, 2016.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, sons David Chasey and his wife Cindy, Pete Chasey and his wife Claudia, his daughter Barbara Bernard and granddaughters Jennifer Regian, her husband Will, great grandsons Liam and Lucas Regian, granddaughters Nicole Chasey and Victoria Chasey. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Athens on July 15, 2016 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Woody Meredith officiating.

Obituary: Jack Kendall Kendrick

Kendrick, JackGraveside services for Jack Kendall Kendrick, 70, of Brownsboro, will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Edom Cemetery with Terry Nesmith officiating. Services are under the direction of the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Family of Athens.

Mr. Kendrick went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.

Jack Kendrick was born on February 17, 1946 in Waco, Texas, son of Jack Kendrick and Marion Mitchell Kendrick. He was a member of the First Assembly of God of Brownsboro and was a sign painter at Fort Hood Sign Shop for 35 years. Jack was married to his wife, Labeta Kendrick, for 8 ½ years. He was a great family man and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Obituary: Connie Masterson

Connie Masterson, 71 of Athens, TX passed away July 1, 2016 in Athens.

 

Connie was born April 22, 1945 in Tulsa, OK. 

 

She was a member of the East Texas Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary where she enjoyed many hours of volunteering.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Malakoff.  Connie enjoyed going and ministering at the nursing home.

 

Connie is survived by her son Craig Masterson and wife Shay, granddaughter Kenzie Masterson, brother Alex Cox, and sister Melody Rose.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband Emory Masterson and mother Mildred Jones.

 

Visitation will be Sunday, July 3 from 6-8 PM at Huckabee-Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff, TX.  A graveside service will be Monday July 4 at 9 AM in Baker Cemetery, Kemp, TX. Bro. Jody Jones will officiate the service.

Mr. Hayes went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

Buford Hayes was born on September 19, 1930 in Dallas County, son of Ira Jesse Hayes and Mamie Hayes. He married the love of his life, Reba Mae Dunn in 1954 in Cedar Hill, Texas. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, farming, and gardening. Buford was a baseball and softball coach and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He was a great family man and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
