Obituary: Ronnie ‘Papa Poo’ Sessions

Funeral services for Ronnie “Papa Poo” Sessions 72, Brownsboro have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday January 21, 2018 at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Bristow officiating.

Burial will follow at Red Hill Cemetery.

Ronnie passed away Tuesday evening in Tyler.

He was born September 19, 1945 in Athens to the late Marvin Oscar and Ella Jo Hopson Sessions. He was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and a Baptist by faith. For many years Ronnie was heavy equipment operator and owner of Kickapoo Construction Company. He loved to do Trail Rides with his mules and covered wagon and participated in as many as he could. He loved spending time with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Obituary: John Douglas Cooper

John Douglas (JD) Cooper passed from his earthly life into heaven on Thursday afternoon January 18, 2018.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2619 TX Loop 7, Athens, Texas. Brother Don Childress and Pastor Mike Dean will officiate.

The burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, 3100 FM 317 Athens, TX. Brother Mike Cooper will officiate.

Obituary: Dennis Wayne Airheart

Dennis Wayne Airheart born February 5, 1955, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018.

He was preceded in death by CW and Georgia Lou Airheart, Gary Neil and Shirley Airheart and Hazel Tompkins.

Survived by children: Stephanie Airheart Jowers and husband Fletcher II, Waxahachie; Dustin Airheart and wife Kristen, White Settlement; Misty Airheart Weatherly and husband Justin, Whitehouse; Brandon Airheart and Shonda Beville, Eustace. Sisters: Kathy Airheart Kelley, Trinidad; Ann Airheart Holloway and husband Rickie, Trinidad; Sheila Tompkins, Tyler; Dedra Tompkins, Tyler, and Sharlene Tanner Sims, Athens. Brothers Ricky Tompkins, Tyler and Gary Tanner and wife Peggy, Hallsville. Grandchildren: Lacey, Ally and Fletcher Jowers III; Dylan and Tyler Airheart; Madison Vaughn; Bryleigh and Aubrey Airheart; Blakelynn.

Memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Trinidad.

Obituary: Helen Oleta Cook Chambers

Helen Oleta Cook Chambers was born in Eustace, Texas on December 30, 1922 and passed away on January 15, 2018 in Athens, Texas. Her parents were George Joyce Cook and Lillie Merle Melton Cook, pioneer settlers who established some of the first businesses in Eustace.

She married William Lawrence (Bill) Chambers in 1943 while he was stationed in Lubbock, Texas.
