Fall is in the air and scarecrows are out again. This is the third year that Malakoff has gone all out to see who can come up with the most outlandish scarecrow. This year, the 19th Annual Cornbread Festival has moved from the spring to the fall to join the scarecrow fun with a new name: The Cornbread and Scarecrow Festival will be held Saturday, October 22. The former Cornbread Festival has always been held down town, but this year the new Cornbread & Scarecrow Festival will be held at the Malakoff Community Center, 504 N. Main St Malakoff, Texas 75148, though a number of special events will still be held Downtown Malakoff.
