Award-Winning Trailer

unnamed (7)Athens High School seniors and Athens FFA members Dylan Hart (left) and Dominique Guevara won first in class, reserve grand champion in division and reserve grand champion overall with the 16-foot utility trailer they made. A premium feature of the trailer is the ramp tailgate, which is hinged to fold both ways. That means when it’s riding down the road, the gate can lay flat on the bed so there is no wind drag. This particular model doesn’t come equipped with the Lift-gate at the rear but in the coming months. You may see a revised version to support the rear lift system. In addition, Dominique was awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Tulsa Welding School. (Toni Garrard Clay/AISD)
