Brownsboro Intermediate School Principal Rhonda McCallie, has accepted a position with the Region 7 Education Service Center in Kilgore beginning January 5, 2015. The BISD family congratulates Mrs. McCallie on her new venture and thanks her for the years of service to BISD. The students and staff will miss her leadership and wish her the very best.
The mid-year transition of any campus principal position can be challenging. However, BISD is blessed to have a capable and skilled leader in Laura Ballard, who will be promoted to BIS Principal beginning January 5, 2015. Mrs. Ballard is a seasoned leader who has served as the Dean of Academic Affairs at Brownsboro High School and prior to that, as special programs coordinator and math teacher in two other districts.
Mrs. Ballard will be joining a strong team of professionals at Brownsboro Intermediate School. Superintendent Moran said, “I am excited for the staff and students who will directly benefit from Mrs. Ballard’s leadership. Laura is relentless in her work to provide the best opportunity for student learning and teacher success, day in and day out. You will be hard pressed to find a more dedicated, talented, and driven professional to fill the role of principal at Brownsboro Intermediate School.”
