2015 School Accountability Ratings

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released the 2015 accountability ratings for public schools on Friday. All districts and campuses in the Henderson County area earned a “Met Standard” rating.

In addition, campuses could receive Distinction Designations in the following areas: Top 25% Student Progress, Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps, Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts, Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in Science, Academic Achievement in Social Studies, and Postsecondary Readiness.

The accountability ratings are as follows:

Athens ISD

  • South Athens Elementary – Met Standard, Academic Achievement in Reading/ELA, Top 25 Percent Student Progress, Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps, Postsecondary Readiness
  • Bel Air Elementary – Met Standard, Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps, Postsecondary Readiness
  • Athens Middle School – Met Standard
  • Athens Intermediate – Met Standard
  • Athens High School – Met Standard, Academic Achievement in Science, Top 25 Percent Student Progress

Brownsboro ISD

  • Chandler Intermediate – Met Standard, Academic Achievement in Science
