CCLTV press release
A new type of entertainment has come to the Cedar Creek Lake area in the form of Cedar Creek Lake Television or CCLTV.
CCLTV is the product of James Robertson and Paul Gilford, both veterans of the United States Navy. James is the creator and sole manager of the online news blog Cedar Creek Lake Neighborhoods. Paul is the former video/audio manager of The Venue, a business formerly open in Gun Barrel City. The two began discussing CCLTV earlier in 2013 and launched the first segment of their new local station for free viewing on Youtube in August of 2013.
The aim of Cedar Creek Lake Television is to spotlight local businesses, non-profit organizations, individuals, and places of interest around Cedar Creek Lake, showcasing things such as the Gun Barrel City airport in hopes that company executives and owners will visit the area and establish their businesses here. The first segment which aired last week showcased the Athens Farmers Market, a small business in Tool called McDades Nursery and featured special local musical guest Kadie Lynn.
“The possibilities for Cedar Creek Lake Television are endless,” said executive producer James Robertson. “We have seen multiple, eight by my last count, businesses fail for one reason or another just in the past year. We have got to do something about that.”
CCLTV hopes to bring multiple programs to its line-up including talk shows, news programs, sports coverage, and has plans for the future to run sitcoms and other scripted shows as well.
CCLTV will also provide more affordable advertising options for local businesses so business owners won’t sweat paying for ad time and since CCLTV is available for free viewing online in video format, which is the way of the future, those ads will reach millions of potential viewers.
James and Paul will soon meet with the city of Gun Barrel City to discuss the future and the possibilities that CCLTV can bring to the Cedar Creek Lake area. It is the hopes of these two that CCLTV will pump some vital life into the Cedar Creek Lake area and unlock the areas full potential.
“Cedar Creek Lake needs a voice and a face,” says Director Paul Gilford. “We are more than a lake, we are people, we are a variety of businesses, we need to work together to make us all better. CCLTV will be that voice and that face.”
