Woman arrested for Burglary of a Habitation

On Wednesday March 16, 2016 Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Billy Jack Valentine took a report for Burglary of a Habitation that occurred in the Berryville area. The complainant reported that some jewelry and a credit card were stolen from the residence.

Investigator Valentine was able to locate some of the jewelry at a pawn shop in Jacksonville, Texas. He also discovered that approximately $17,000 was fraudulently used on the credit card in various locations from Tyler, Palestine, and Mexia.

InvestigatorĀ Valentine was able to identify Dawn Bacon as a suspect. Investigator Valentine filed an Affidavit for an Arrest Warrant with Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Randy Daniel. Judge Daniel found probable cause existed and issued an arrest warrant for Burglary of a Habitation for Dawn Bacon.

On Wednesday, March 23, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Kyle Pochobradsky served the warrant by arresting Dawn Bacon and transporting her to the Henderson County Jail. Bacon was arraigned on the charge and bond was set at $25,000. Bacon remains in the Henderson County Jail.
