TxDOT expects to be very busy in Henderson County the week of Aug. 3. Here are list of ongoing projects:
— TxDOT Maintenance will return to SH 274 where a hot mix overlay is being applied. Work will then move to the intersection of SH 198 and FM 316. A second crew continues making base repairs on various roads around the county. Expect lane closures with flaggers providing traffic control.
— TxDOT contractor, Striping Technology, Inc., will have a crew adding striping on FM 2709 in Henderson County as part of the district-wide safety project to add centerline rumble strips. Expect lane closures.
— Work is underway on the SH 31 project that calls for milling the existing surface and placing a new overlay on the roadway. It should be completed in three months. Motorists should expect daytime lane closures throughout the duration project. Located at .09 miles west of FM 317 eastward to .34 miles west of FM 773.
— Big Creek Construction is conducting cleanup activities and final installations on the project widening FM 317 from FM 314 to FM 607. Expect lane closures.
— Cardinal Drive in Murchison is closed to through traffic while a new bridge is constructed. The project is expected to be completed in August 2015.
